I was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, the son of a writer. My Dad has always had a healthy interest in the arts and I guess that's where I get it from. I went to art school in Norwich to study under Anna Marie Pacheco, who was Head of Fine Art at the time. I completed my degree in sculpture and after 15 years making abstract work, I went back to studying the figure and landscape. The images you see now have been completed over the past 3 years. I have had many influences, but the ones I go back to time and again are Cezanne, van Gogh, Max Beckman, Euan Uglow and Alberto Giacommetti. I have exhibited in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London and France.
